Meet SAIR, the Wireless Inspection Crawler from Saudi Aramco
Introducing SAIR (Saudi Aramco Inspection Robot) a brand-new wireless crawler robot designed for ultrasonic and visual asset inspections, including pipe racking, hard-to-access and elevated pipework, domes and other vessels.
Nexxis is delighted to be partnering with Saudi Aramco to bring this innovative technology to market. With SAIR having around 10 patents pending, this impressive robot has an extended battery life and a wireless range of around 100 metres. Its unique wheel design allows it to navigate over welds and, in addition to the UT probe, features in-built gas monitoring for methane, CO2 & O2.
Discover the development roadmap that’s seen this semi-autonomous tool morph from the initial blueprint of a university R&D project, before undergoing several revisions to become a highly advanced robotic tool that will benefit many industries.
